And we both love food.
We love to eat!
So, it's just pure gastronomic enjoyment and pure laughter whenever we meet.
And since we love food SO MUCH, we have come to the conclusion of starting a FOOD BLOG!

It is February!
It just felt like yesterday that 2012 has started.
And February means...

...that them bloody exams are coming!

You know, I have been rather blessed for my one and a half years in NYP to only have one set of Common Tests and then just hardcore studying for the exams.
Apparently, this semester isn't that much of a blessing.
Besides the constant troubles of le CCA and other stuff, and the already first round of Common Tests, I have another round Common Tests.
A very first.
I got bloody five of them.
And they are ALL next week.
And I have not started studying.
Oh wait, I haven't even bought the lecture notes yet!
HA!

Am I just awesome?!

I've always wondered what it'll be like to study something that I like/love/am totally fine racking my brains about.
It's physically tiring and mind draining forcing yourself to study something that feels of no importance to you at all.
Theoretically.
The joy of attaining knowledge is sucked dry by the fact of unhappiness.

So God bless my soul for my five tests and my exams right after that.

February is gonna be hot as hell I can tell you that.
I just can't wait for March to ring on in.

It is kinda daunting to know that in just a month, I would have completed two years in NYP.
TWO YEARS.
Now how did all that time pass by?

Being in NYP has been a joy.
Yes it has been a hell of a roller coaster ride too.
The friends I have made. the things I have done, can never be replaced.
But boy oh boy did two years pass by fast.
But then again, I've always wondered what it would be like to not have two jobs and a CCA.
I've always wanted to know how it feels to really be just a FULL TIME STUDENT.
Like no commitments to your CCA, just deal with school work and no other worries.
Or being in school when all your classmates go home!

Even though, I wish things would have changed, I wouldn't go back and change a damn thing.
Cause the shit I learned and gone through, would stay with me forever.
ACTUALLY...I do wish I had left when the time was right.
HAHAHA.

But heh, what the hell yeah?

Life goes on and you just make the best of it yeah?

I love my classmates.
The pass two years wouldn't be the same without them!
Like today, we had a bloody three hour programming make up.

Well, what can I say.

I always say I'll be back and all that blabla shit.
But that's all just bull crap isn't it.

Musical, open house, assignment and projects, work, CCA, yes they are the reasons for my long standing hiatus.
No excuse there.
Just plain exhaustion.

Well, then, it's already 2012!
Yes,
2011 is long gone.
I would say 2011 was somewhat all right.

But then again 2012 is NOW.

And it's going to be an awesome year.

I already got my get away all straight out,
And it's gonna be a damn long one.

I am just gonna drop every single bullshit behind and just enjoy myself over there,
And that's the ONLY thing I am looking forward to so far.

And I don't give a damn about what's left behind.
What's meant to rot, will rot.

2012 didn't really start that well.
And sadly, it's something that I joined that was supposed to bring my joy.
But nah, it just had to be a bitch and start shit in the start of the year.
Which just kept me thinking, is it that worth it?
I should have just walked away long ago, before all these attachments and guilt built up.
But then again we learn don't we?
But still fuck it.
I hope it's burned to the ground when I'm back.

Well then, here I am typing it all down.
Exams and tons of tests round the corner.
I am still not sure of my life and future profession.
But who knows.

Typing all these down just reminds me how much I miss RockMyCore.
This used to be the place that I pour everything out.
And just tell those haters how awesome my life is.
Even with all this bullshit, my life is still awesome.

Well, yesterday, finally met up with Dot and Yeh.
It's sad.
That the two closest friends I had in church no longer are with me.
Sundays are not the same.
Period.

We finally got the our schedules right to chow down on that StreetDeal.sg coupon!
I AM CRAZY OVER COUPONS OKAY.
Went to this cozy little place at Katong.
Leonard's Place is it's name.

The deal was $10 bucks for a choice of BBQ Ribs/Roasted Chicken with Rice, Soup and free flow Salad Bar.
~~Okay seriously, anything with a free flow salad bar is fine by me.~~

Everything was just so homey.
Food was great, the salad was just amazing.
I mean they had tons of olives and turnips and olives.
Olives rocks my socks.

I mean for a tiny little restaurant, it did do a great job.
And the price, oh my gosh.

Either way, we had fun catching up and just talking bout everything under the sun and laughing our asses off.
Then it was a nice stroll with coffee down at East Coast Park.
I would say it was a perfect way to end my somewhat of a long holiday.

Even though I spent most of my holiday time working my ass off.
Haha.
All for the greater good.

Besides, I need get tons of stuff for my disappearing act.
Haha.

Yes.
Life has been hectic.
October has been one hell of a month.
And I would say, the worst of this year so far.

So much has happened.
So much good, and so much sad and bad.

Well, first, school really has been a bitch.
This semester actually isn't that very bad though.
It just boils down to the fact that I still have programming to do.
Everyone in the milky way knows Gaijin and programming just do not mix.
But then, everyone also knows, I will pull through in the end.

Everyday is just a robotic routine of going through the routines...
And panicking when common tests and assignments and projects comes in.
But then again, isn't that what school is all about?

Anyway, let me start with the saddest of all shit that happened since my last post.

Joobs passed away...

It was so sudden.
I remember that day perfectly.
It was one of them mornings where I woke up pretty early naturally.
It was 6ish?
I gave him his favourite...celery.
Added in a few carrots, and refreshed the goodie pile.
Played with him for awhile, then put him back.
Added more bathing sand and was off to school!

He was happy, and being the usual crazy little hamster, forever on the wheel.

I came home, and I thought he will be at the wheel or just sleeping.
And I couldn't find him!
Until I saw his still body on the hay.
DAMN.

I honestly have no idea why or how he died.
I just sat there for an hour thinking what I could have done wrong.
And upto now, I still couldn't think of any.
I have no idea.

So after a burial, I just left his cage there.
For days, I couldn't bring myself to clean it.

Until like a week, I finally got around to it.
My father was damn cute.
He asked if I needed help to assemble it back together.
Even now, his empty cage just sits there.

And I still long to have his rattles on the wheel in the middle of the night.

I don't want another hamster.
I don't want to go through another loss.

I don't know. Is my hectic life affecting my pets?

I can't afford to upkeep my fish tanks now too.
Cutting down to just two tanks.

Maybe I'll just start having that little herb garden that I always wanted to have.

Sigh.
I wish I had more time, more money, and more love to share.
I WISH.

Well, that's the pinnacle of my sadness so far.
There are tons more of shit, but nah, it's not worth mentioning.
Besides, aren't sad shit supposed to be forgotten as soon as possible?

On a lighter note, I finally got around to getting something done that I've always wanted to do.
I usually need a kick to just go with my sudden impulsion and guts.
And with Miss Dorothy Tang!
So finally, Gaijin did it.
:D

Well another thing at school that has been taking up majority of my time, is dance.
Yes, in light of the upcoming musical, dancing has been somewhat of a lifeline these few weeks.
I got ballroom and stage arts side by side.
Boy am I excited!
I am still.
But my body is kinda dead?
Yeah quite dead,

The long hours of stressful school coupled by long straining hours of dancing and not much sleep has cause a ripple of effects on me.
I got the sick.

It kinda got bad.........
I actually went to get an MC.. and wasted money on my own accord on Monday.
So yeah, that's how bad it actually got.
But oh well, this weekend was a good one for me.
Power napped on both Saturday and Sunday and I kinda feel recharged for the week ahead.

It's awesome dancing latin now I would say.
For rhumba, me partner is le beautiful Miss Alicia!

It has awesome dancing with her!
I am so ecstatic to be having the opportunity to improve with her.
Haha.
She is the longest person by far, that I've been dancing with.
Awesome.
I needed that kick!
HAHAHA.

And yeah hip hop for stage arts has been awesome too.
A struggle at first, but totally getting the hang of it now.

Well, I did end my hectic week days with an awesome get together with the fellow PolyForum peeps.
I will always love this bunch of people.
It's always just pure laughter and happiness whenever we meet.
And I am so lucky to have some in NYP.

We had a scrumptious dinner.

And as usual, retarded cam-whoring.

It's just pleasant times like this that just perks your energy and happiness way up.

And for last night, my family actually agreed to have KFC!

Yeah, it's an extremely rare occasion to have fast food, even so delivered to the home!
All I can say is, there is still a ton of remainders in the fridge.
Might be a long long time till we order again.
HAHA!

All in all, life is still a roller-coaster.
A pretty unsuspecting one.
I just live it.
Day by day.
Enjoying the awesome downs.
Patiently waiting for the long ups.
And recovering from all the bloody nausea.

I don’t really know who I am anymore, and what I want anymore. I’m not the person I always thought I was, and I’ve completely lost sight of the person I’ve always aimed of becoming. What are my goals and ambitions anymore.. and what ever happened to the passion and willpower to pursue them? A very emotional start to a blog post long over due.

Life has been... well I just don't know how to out my finger on it.
Busy is an understatement.

As of now this very minute, I got this horrible sore throat, splitting headache, and annoying cough.
I'm sitting in lab, learning about domains, DNS servers, and gateways.

I've got dance practice later.
Which is no exception as I have dance every night.
For what?
NYP's Musical.
And horror me shadows, I'm doing hip hop too.

I rarely have time to work now.
Which means my resources are kinda tight.

This is my life now.

School?
I don't know.
Am I really happy studying all this.
Well the answer is obvious.

Till then my friends, I'll just hope for the best.

The Rainbow Rocky Road.

SO.....

I made my own birthday cake for my own birthday party.

Wowza!

Honestly, it's my very first MAJOR baking venture.

I have baked cakes/muffins/brownies before.
But nothing on this scale.

I'm actually better on the stove then on the oven.
Nya.

So, I actually had a little sprinkle of worry on it.

Mostly objection from the parents.
But me being Gaijin, I do what I wanna do babbyyy.

SO..
I went and did a little research and got what it is I was supposed to get.

And the process continues.

NIGHT BEFORE THE PARTY.

I started the baking.

I really wanted to be on the safe side.
So I cheated.
I bought White Wings Golden Buttercake ready make cake mix.

JUST IN CASE.
I didn't want to you know, like exceed on the salt/baking powder etc etc.
So I got two packs!

Quite simple and very straight forward.

Add eggs, butter and milk and vanilla essence.

And stir until there isn't any lumps and it's all smooth and awesome smelling.
I couldn't resist.
Had to swallow some.
Awesome shizzz.

Then, separate into as many proportions you want.
I only decided on 6 colours.

Separate and add the food colouring.
Then stir until the colouring is completely diluted.

I had the hands of a toddler who played with paint!
HAHA.

Then, it was all baking.
Pour and level in buttered baking dishes.

Preheat oven to 180`C.
And bake.

Sadly, I have a tiny microwave convection oven.
So, I could only bake two trays at a time.

And by the time I finished, it was already morning.
Okay.
I must have fallen asleep here and there.
HAHA!

Filling!

After all the layers have baked and cooled, it was time to do the marshmallow filling.

This is extremely simple.
Get the smallest marshmallows you could find.
Easier to melt and easier to handle.

So, dump em all in a bowl, add a little water so they won't burn and put in the microwave.
After every 30 seconds, remove, stir and repeat till the marshmallows have all melted and it's in a very smooth consistency.

Then, layer the cake!
I kinda put too much marshmallows.
HAHA!
And it kinda over-flowed over the cake.
But it's fine.

Then freeze it for the marshmallows to harden.

Chocolate icing!

You know, Youtube is the best place ever.
They practically got everything up there.

So I got this extremely simple icing recipe.

Mix melted butter with cocoa powder and stir.

Siying came over to help!

Love you bro!

Add milk and stir again.

After everything has mixed, add the icing sugar.

Keep adding and beating till you have your DESIRED consistency.

And viola!

Icing is done!

Then, pour over cake and ice it up gently.

Actually this wasn't easy.

But it was all perfect in the end!

FOR COCOA POWDER, ALWAYS USE VAN HOUTENS. IT'S THE BEST QUALITY COCOA POWDER I KNOW!

Teehee!

And my awesome cake is all done!

It was actually extremely simple!
I think now, I have conquered the oven as well!

But, I still feel the same old Gaijin.
Nothing has changed.
Nothing is new.

I mean how time flies.
It felt like yesterday I was going to Primary school.
Felt like yesterday when I ran around wild in India.
Felt like yesterday when life started all over again in Singapore.

I've been in Singapore for 5 years already.
Boy how time flies.
I remember it so clearly.
Getting on the plane for the last time.
Mind scared yet excited at the same time.
Not knowing what to expect.
With a dream and a plan in mind.

Jump forward 5 years later and here I am.
Whatever plans and dreams I had when I touched down had become nothing more that just a dream.
Life has had taken a complete turn over.
This wasn't what I had planned.

BUT.

I am happy that life has been what it has been.
Well of course I am still sore.
But grateful.
All that shit, all that pain, all that hardship, depression and sadness.
It was worth it.
For now.

For now.
I am happy.
I am somewhat content.
I am somewhat settled.

I won't lie and say I am extremely happy.
That life is perfect and I have nothing to complain about.
Because it isn't.
I am still sad, angry, depressed and sore sometimes.
Life isn't the perfect life I wanted it to be.
And sadly, sometimes I do have those bouts of sadness once in a while.

But, I am still happy.
So contradicting no?

Let's just live life one day at a time shall we?

Now back to me being twenty-one!

I would say, this birthday was the best birthday I ever ever had.
Very true.

Let's start with the week before my birthday.

See this bunch of people?
HAHA.
They are my OBS mates.
We went to OBS exactly 1 year ago the day we met up.
How co-incidental.
Anyway, this outing took 1 whole year to plan.
Shocking provided by the fact that we see each other on campus oh so often.

So, we finally met up outside of school.
And we had dinner at Manhattan Fish Market!

Clara dear bought a cake, since she worked at a cake shop.

And these people suddenly decided to look at my wallet.
And found out my birthday was just next week.
SO,
I had an impromtu birthday surprise!
:D

I love these guys so much.
From the time all of us sat down, we were just laughing and laughing all the way till we parted ways.
Tock Seng needs to have more outings with double the laughter again!

And on my actual birthday.
I was in Polyforum yeah.
And my birthday was smack right down in the middle of it.
My awesome polyforum mates had this wonderful surprise planned out.
HAHA.
Which I stupidly went to spoil.
But either way it was one of the best surprises I had!

And you know what the stupid thing was?
The stuuuupid rule was that lights out at 11pm and no going to other people's room and shit.

Which I think is silly cause we aren't little kids and I mean we are quite grown up to take care of ourselves.
They actually had spot checks and were so ANAL about it. Like really fucking anal to the point of complete annoyance. THEY WOULDN'T LEAVE YOUR ROOM. It was a complete intrusion of privacy and personal boundaries.

ONE THING POLYFORUM NEEDS TO TAKE NOTE.

So because of that shit, we had to celebrate in the dark.
All lights off, be as quiet as possible.
And enjoy in total darkness.
It was lovely.

All went well, until a few had to leave.
That's when the spot checkers from hell swooped down.
We didn't open the door for them.
Until they made it quite anally clear that they wouldn't leave.
So well, party busted.

They ruined my birthday party.
I will forever remember you faces.

So, the rest of us spent the night watching Scream 3 and went to bed.
HAHA.
My perfect birthday.

I actually wanted to have a chalet for like 3 day?
And invite people during that period for sleep overs and all that.
But I scrapped the idea cause of Polyforum.
Which was an awesome thing to do!

But I just felt like I needed to do something.
I mean, I do turn 21 only once.
So I decided to have one at home.

I was my first time EVER having a birthday party.
And it's sure might be my last.

Special invitation ONLY.

HAHA.

It was a blast!

Simon, Baotri and Siying came by to help.
I swear I couldn't have made it without them.

And the mother of course! :D

I almost killed/chocked everyone to death with my sparklers/candles.

PolyForum 2011!

Well, as some of you may know,

I WENT FOR POLYFORUM 2011!

To sum it up..just awesome.

~~(I mean provided with the fact that I initially didn't want to go)~~

Well, where do I start?!

Let's start with the overview shall we?

Polytechnic Forum is held every year where 300 over chosen students from all Polytechnics and from all courses and walk of life gather to discuss our beloved country, Singapore!

I was one of the lucky few who got to go this year.
(Along with 300 others)

So basically, there are 2 parts(weeks) to this whole forum.

FIRST,(week)
The in Singapore part.

This year, it was held by Republic Polytechnic.
So half of the time, we were at RP.
We had discussions and talks and movie screenings and all.
We got to meet celebrities like Boo Jun Feng, Beatrice Chia-Richmond and Serene Chen.
Just to name a few.

I was in the sub-group Culture.
So everything we did or had, was in some way, related to the Singapore Culture.
We had an "Amazing Race" on the first day.
Then we had a survey quest in town.
And visits to Asian Civilizations Museum and National Museum of Singapore.
It was fun!
I wouldn't actually go to these places on my own.
And honestly, I didn't want to leave at all.
I loved the Asian Civilizations Museum the most!

Overall, it was just awesome.
Getting to know new friends from all over.
Getting into discussions and talks all.
It was just all wonderful.

SECOND, (week)
The overseas residential part.

This year, we went to the Lotus Resort, Desaru.
APPARENTLY PREVIOUS YEARS, THEY WENT ON CRUISES.
But anyway, what can I do?
Haha.

Here, was where the serious shit came down to business.
Hardcore intense discussions on the Singapore culture.
And my group were in the topic of Culture Beyone Singapore.
i.e: Singaporeans living out of Singapore.

It was the perfect scenario for me and I felt so attached and kinda emotional when it came to discussions and all.
Well I wasn't the only one. There were 2 others who were just like me!
Somewhat.
HAHA.

For once it felt kinda okay to talk about all the hard times I faced being overseas.
And in some ways proud.

Though, I did feel that more time was needed, and that all our views should be put across.
Well, we did slug out our feelings and minds and time, and I did feel kinda sad that whatever it was that we all worked so hard on, didn't go as far as we had intended it to go.
Especially for 3 of us.

But all in all, everything was for the greater good wasn't it?

In the end, it was all the wonderful times I had with all these awesome people!
It's very shocking to know, that if it wasn't for Polyforum, I wouldn't have met them.
I feel so lucky!

The highlight for me, during the polyforum was the Social Night.
It's the night where, everything is put aside, and it's all fun and dancing and pure enjoyment!
My group theme was the 60's 70's!
So we were the most colorful/vibrant of all groups there!

And we danced to Earth, Wind and Fire babyyy!

Enough blabber from me.

At the end of it all, we had to go back to RP to meet the education minister.
Minister Heng Swee Keat.

I felt the time we had with him was really short, but hell, he is the minister.
I am so sure he got so much stuff to do..
BUT EVEN SO..
TIME TO SHORT.

AND..

IN MY HONEST OPINION..

I REALLY FELT LIKE HE DIDN'T REALLY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS DIRECTLY IN ANY WAY AT ALL.

I was kinda disappointed.

But that aside.

I left with the sweetest of memories.
And with the best of friends too.

It's something that just cannot be weighed.

When I came back, I felt so detached from the world.
I felt so disconnected.

Which is rare for me.

Truth be told,

Polyforum did have an impact on me.

And I am happy that it did.

And did I forget to mention it how I celebrated my birthday with these wonderful people?!

I shall update that on another post!

So how long has it been huh.

A whole month since my last post.

It honestly felt longer.

Well, I don't really know what happened during that long draft period.

It was all the school, work, CCA, exams fiasco.

It's been ages since my last post.

Things have been much of a roller coaster.

Some good stuff..

WELL MOSTLY BAD.

I'm angry.
I'm angry at myself.
For letting myself fall.
For letting things of less priority govern my life.
For procrastinating like a useless bitch.
For trying to be super confident in academics.

And it all has come back to hit me.

I'm angry at God, for the latest tragedy.
I don't get your purpose at all for every misfortune that happens.
I will just never understand you.

And yes, like a hurt soul, I'll be angry at you for awhile.

I'm not gonna let all this falter me.
I'm not gonna let my Director's List slip away again.
Now, it's time for damage control.
Time to put things aside and get back to what's important.

As much as I love dancing, I have to say that my academics come first.
I will always love dancing, and that will never change.

Priorities.

Work, sadly has to be a priority too.
Singapore is one hell of a fucking expensive country.
I'm not gonna retire here, that's for sure.

I need to really pull up my studies now.
I've let myself go to the lowest of all pits I can go with my academics.
And I hate myself for being so stupid to let it happen.
I was too confident.
Thinking that since I did it last time, I could do it again.

That failure will haunt me forever.

Well, life is always a learning journey.
You make mistakes and you learn again.

Life has been one hell of a roller coaster from the last time I was here.

There were so many occasions where I would type something out, delete all out, or just come to this new post page and just stare for hours.

I AM BACK MY LOVELY BLOG!

All right.
I'm sorry for staying away for so long.

Coming back is so hard.
Laziness, pure laziness
Tiredness too to add.

Sometimes, I don't even turn on my laptop.

IT'S JUST I FEEL SO LAZY TO DO ANYTHING LATELY.

Well, I did promise that this year would be a great year for RockMyCore.

NYP Open House had passed!
Which was the reason why I wasn't blogging for so long.

I came back home and K.O-ed every single day last week.
But it was all worth it.
And my passion for dancing has flamed up abit.

But I don't know why I just don't have that FLAME I had when I first joined.
It's lost somewhere.
Hidden.
Dormant.

But why.
I don't know.
And I'm not going to know.
But I'm going to get it to revive again!

Well besides dance, life has been good in NYP.
My grades have improved.
Well somewhat with comparisons to last Common Tests.
I got a B+ for Math yo.
Like that is damn high for my standards!
HAHA.

And I'm going to just keep aiming higher.

Oh yes about my holiday.
I went back TO Malacca.
This trip was a very pleasant yet very somber and sad one too.
My Christmas dinner was a pipping hot pot of Ba Ku Teh at midnight.
It was just lovely.

This Christmas visit was a very somber one.
Not because I was sick, but because, I got to see my cousin Raymond's and my maternal Grandmother's graves for the very first time.

It's going to be a year to Raymond's death anniversary.
I couldn't get to see him for the last time, I couldn't say goodbye, I couldn't attend the funeral either.
And finally I got to see his resting place.
I miss him.
The closest cousin I ever had.
I miss the times whenever I would go back and we would just sit at a corner and just talk about anything under the sun for hours.
I really do miss him.
:(

But finally I got to see his resting place.
I almost cried.
I finally felt at peace.
I finally was able to say goodbye.

And I also got to see my Grandmother's grave too.
She took care of me till I was a year old.
She always squealed "OOOOH NEEEEEE!"
And I would giggle and squeal in reply.
Yeah, I didn't get the chance to grow up with her.
But she took care of me when I needed it most.
And that was all that counts.

Okay happiness then.
Okay, not really.
Got sick on the way over there.
The bloody flu and sore throat and all.
~~GOT IT FROM THE MOTHER!~~
Anyways, with all the shit, I was either on the bed, on a dining table, or in a car.
Or was shopping.
HAHA.
I couldn't be bothered with the bloody fever, throat, and flu and just ate my fill.
Devil, assam pedas, belachan and all.
I just ate to my heart's content, with bloody phlegm and all.

I just needed to restock for the year of one of my favorite comfort foods.
And to end the year with a gastronomic blast!

This trip was just a perfect ending for the year.
It was meant for closure.
And happiness.

AND OH MY BLOODY SHIT.
I JUST FOUND OUT I LEFT MY POUCH FULL OF ALL MY THUMBDRIVES IN SCHOOL.

What more can I say.
It's already a new year.

I spent it with this precious poodle named Zola, sitting on a jetty, waiting for the sunrise.

So welcome 2011.
And goodbye 2010.

2010 was a unique year.
From the start all the way to the end.
I had the highest UPS I could ever have and the lowest DOWNS I could possibly imagine.

I'm not going to say much.
WHATEVER HAPPENS IN 2010 STAYS IN 2010.

So, let's just reflect on the good stuff yeah.

Graduation from ITE.
It was a highlight in my life.
Never ever have I ever been awarded with awards and stuff for being the top student.
For once. I felt good, academically.
For once, I felt smart.
HAHA.
But I kinda got tired with the tons of awards ceremonies.
It felt awesome at first, but then, HAHA.
Oh well.
I miss ITE.
I miss CM2K.
I always will.

I got into Nanyang Polytechnic!
Yeah.
Though the course I got into isn't really my cup of tea.
I am on the fence.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
I'm just gonna wait and see, and let doors be open.

I woke up this morning all fuzzed up.
Looked the clock and went "Ah shit".
Went straight to the shower, bathed.

Anyways, IT'S HOLIDAYS!

Yesterday was the first mark of it.
I slept the entire day.
It was to compensate all those days I rarely had proper sleep.
Dinner-ed with Simon.

And found an awesome alternative to KOI.
Seriously, there's this shop just ahead from KOI at Ang Mo Kio.
And well, there already are some avid followers, but not as horrendous as the insanely long queue at KOI.
And it taste ABSOLUTELY the same.
They just don't have the WIDE SPREAD that KOI has.
But trust me.
It's good.

Now, I think people who queue up like sick mesmerized puppies for KOI are just plain stupid.
Actually, I always thought that.
I never liked buying KOI, cause of the long bloody unnecessary wait.
Really unnecessary.
Yes, it's good, agreed.
But waiting for 45 minutes for it is so STUPID.

Especially now when there is just another one of the same caliber just above the alley.
It's called Super Soft Drink Shop.
The rest is all in chinese so i'm all BO LIAO there.

I bought the Green Milk Tea with Baby Pearls.
And I liked it.
HAHA.

Jackie and Bullet came over to stay!
They are going home today.

This time, they were very naughty.
But I still love them.
It was great having them around this time.
All the late night studying was so easier with them next to me on the couch.

It's always wanted to swim with a whale.

But I watched Inception today.

I came home early, with the intention of studying to find the father watching it.
So hell yeah, I watched too.

I loved it.
Now I understand all the raves about.
It's an awesome movie!
Great story line, stunning graphics and effects, and good emotions too.

If only the possibility of going into limbo existed.
I would gladly stay in limbo forever.
Or maybe just for holiday.

You know, the concept of creating your own world is just so dreamy.
Build your own world.

I would build my huge mansion on the slopes of a wonderful green mountain that snows in winter overlooking the beautiful sea where I have an Orca whale as a pet.

His name will be Beau.

I will swim with him in the wide deep ocean.

And take rides on his back all day long.

I will ride the open valleys and hills with Spirit, the perfect Stallion, coated with soft brown hair and a silky blonde mane.

On his heels will be my Saint Bernard, Gusto and Jugga, my bulldog.

I will come home to my perfect home.

My walls will be replaced by fish tanks.

My main backdrop would be the entire living room walls, a huge tropical paradise with millions of fish everywhere!

The ceiling would be filled with fairy kois..

That would be my home.

I'll have an exquisite garden and orchid with every fruit and vegetable and herb growing.

And if it's just too perfect.

I'll have my wife, sitting there perfectly on the patio, with her cup of tea, looking at me with those happy beautiful eyes.

Reminiscing of the wonderful yacht rides we would have.

The rides in the mountains.

The underwater journeys she had with Beau.

She could have anything she wants.

With the Himalayan Persian Feline, Snowball and the Siamese Kitty, Mr Grey around her legs, playing with yarn balls.

I look at her.

She looks at me.

We smile.

And we just grow old together.

Happily.

Now, that was me going into a deep intense rambling.

Macroon?

Yesterday, Baotri smacked in the face before warm up, during his wild routine stretching.
And that blow punctured a cute tiny hole on my lower lip.
Which splatted blood on the studio mirror.
HAHA.
It feels weird having a swollen lip all day long.

Talking about which, we now have Gibson teaching us the Salsa on Mondays.
And Bachata soon.
Which is so what I'm looking forward to.
And seriously, it's a pleasure learning with Gibson.
I have never laughed so much in that studio EVER!

All right.
Has been a hectic week!
And I got another hectic week ahead.

It's the last week for revision.
The last bloody week.
Performance on Saturday.
And then it's the fucking Common Tests week!
Fuck no.
I hate impending things that require the most from you when there is nothing more you can give.

But what can you do about it?

I already somewhat got the IDEA for Analog shit, now it's just stabilizing it, along with Maths as well.
Well, I know I can do well.

Anto, my beloved camera has I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM.
His lens is all jammed up.

All this happened after lending him to the sibling.
Who brought him to her prom and brought him back like that.

The father is sending him for warranty check on Monday.

It took me a month to finish this.
Not bad.
I usually never stray much from Ted Dekker or John Grisham.

But this author isn't so bad.
I like his writing style too, just like Dekker and Grisham, full of twists and suspense.
Just nice for me.

This novel is good.
Revolves around the dangerous worlds of human trafficking, Chinese triads and human struggle.
Somehow, I do feel like a lot of the "fiction" actually are results of real life events.
Just saying

But seriously, I have a new author to adore!
And not to mention, he is a very good one.

There is a whole new series to his books with the same characters.
Which I find is so cool!
I admire authors who have written so many novels and yet still be able to keep their characters alive!
Seriously, a whole new string of movies could be made!
And I would be a big fan if it does happen.
Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs.

I'm off to my current read, which is in the series!

R.I.P

My hamster, whom my mother affectionately called Hammie has passed away.
~~She called every hamster I had Hammie by the way.~~
This was I think the only picture I could find of her.
Had to dig through the archives just to find her.

She was the last of her long reigning family.
Whom I've had for at least 4 generations from this pair of parents.
Her mum passed away too.
Old age I presume.
Or just too much kids.
And the father.
He ran away.
Like literally.
He just *poofed* one day.
Like a father that disappeared and was never heard of again.

I can't remember, but I think she should be 3 years old.
For 3 years she was enjoying her life in my humble home.
She was born here, and brought up in this very home.
And has never left.

The house is gonna be so quiet now.
No more spinning wheels, no more clattering of the cages, no more acrobatics.
I'm glad.
Even in her last days she was all full of life, swinging all over the place.
And she had a peaceful death.
She just cuddled up, went to sleep.

:)

I am sad though.
And happy.

Gonna miss you Hammie!

Her death did take me and my family by surprise.
I think Mother shed a tear.
She was the most fond of her.
Splurging her with goodies a normal hamster would not eat.
I mean beancurd and beansprouts and mango?!

Well, I was shocked.
Shocked that I kept thinking on my bed till I zonked out.
Forgetting to do presentation charts.
Which left me being a MAD MAN at 545 in the morning.
You should have seen me.
Flying around the home, paint scissors, paper flying every where.

I seriously need to stop waking up in the wee hours and fucking rush to finish work.
It stops now.

Anyways, watch Invictus over the weekend with the family.
Very slow indeed.

Though I wouldn't say Morgan Freeman makes a good Nelson Mandela.
He is an awesome actor.
But he has had better roles.
Like the Bucket List?

Well the best parts of the film, I would say is the rugby match.
The plane making a dive for the stadium.
Teaching the township kids how to play.

It's just one of those good inspirational films.
Based on facts.

Okay.
I kinda enjoyed watching Indian movies ever since I came back.
You know, the reminiscence part.

All them memories.

Well, I just watch the movies for that.
But those movies don't really leave an impact on me whatsoever.
Somewhat sadly, I am extremely critical watching the movies.
Always criticizing the flaws and mistakes and un-realness of the situation.

But then, came along this movie.

3 Idiots.

I watched the movie over the weekend.
And it has been in my head till now!
I would say, it is one of India's best ever movies, ever produced!

Yeah.
It's rare to see my whole family sit and watch an Indian movie till late together.
And enjoy it.
And tear too.

Very rare indeed.

I was full of regret watching the movie.
It's a personal thing.
I regretted not loving India enough when I was living there.
I regretted not learning Hindi when it was at my fingertips.
I regretted not cherishing everything I had there.

I do wish I could go back.
Just let me go back for awhile.

Because honestly, Singapore does suck in ways India doesn't.

Yes, I am making an effort to blog everyday now.
My blog is the only reason I come online nowadays.
Besides Facebook.
And Ebay.
And Orangette.

So yeah, I'm trying to blog everyday.
I love my blog.
And he has been my closest friend ever since.

Today was a very fruitful day.

~~And I didn't realize until Miss Cheryl Lee pointed it out to me.~~
I saved a life.
Well literally.
There was the bi-annual blood donation drive at NYP today.
So off I went to donate!
And I just had to get the green bandage!
Tsk!

Went with Syahirah and Din.
Met Cheryl there and woohooo!

Sadly though, both Cheryl and Syahirah couldn't donate!
Syahirah had low blood pressure and Cheryl had LOW IRON.
HAHA.
So sad!

In the end it was just Din and I.

The last time I donated was in 2008.
Damn long ago.

It feels great to save a life of a person whom you don't know.

Even though that person doesn't know who you are, the person owes his life to you.

And it means the world to the both.

So sad Cheryl couldn't donate.
My poor president drank like no idea how much Milo for this.
HAHA!

Anyways, I think Rene's office is the best place to lepak.
Like seriously.

Besides having Rene, there's tons of toys to keep you company!
And Rene always got food!
Teehee!

Speaking of food, Cheryl brought back these wonderful stuff from Taiwan.
Damn good.
Personally, I love the marshmallow pads.
Deliciously soft and sweet.
The condoms weren't that bad either.
I preferred the strawberry ones.

Anyways, these past few days, I have just been slumping on the couch once I get home.
It's like instant sleep once I get home.

Well, it was the 12th SGDF Championships on Sunday.
And honestly, I was so "on fire" to take part in the next one!
Watching my alumni dance, it just gave me the passion to do better.
Which I am going to do!
Not to mention, all of them went home with medals!
And I want one too!

And after that, it was off to Orchard for a nice cool off.
Which turned out to be the best and funniest cam-whoring sessions of my life.
And I have never laughed so much before.
It was really a joyful time on Sunday.
One of the best and I doubt will be the last.

Yes yes, I had another performance!

This time, our performance was SERIOUSLY for the good for others.
We performed at SGH for patient therapy.

I love reading.
Reading = NOT STUDYING for your FYI.

I've always grown up reading.
And honestly, it's one of my favourite things to do.
Just give me a good solid book, and a nice matcha latte (like un-ending flow please) and next to a perfect koi/fish pond, and I would be a happy guy.

But it's hard now, with school work and projects and assignments and dance and work.
I rarely got enough time to sit and enjoy a book.
So I read with any free time I have!
Which means during lunch, on the way home, or in any nook and cranny of spare time available.

So, my latest read was a book from one of my favourite authours, Ted Dekker!
Obsessed.

Like all the books of his that I've read, it's full of surprise,suspense and action!
I just love the fast paced story line yet filled with so much emotion.
I just love Ted Dekker's books!

Anyways, now, I'm currently reading Jeffery Deaver's Stone Monkey.
Not bad so far!
